Rooms 11 and 12 have been embracing the wilderness challenge of Camp Kaitawa, conquering heights and exploring depths in their quest to explore the beautiful outdoors of the Lake Waikaremoana area. So far we have been up through the bush to Lou’s lookout, where we marveled at the incredible views of Lake Waikaremoana, around Green Lake, up the long winding track to the lake at the summit, Lake Waikareiti and through the caverns, cracks and overhangs of the Onepoto caves. Our explorer’s spirit has been kindled and we are hungry for more.
